One word of advice, if you decide to subscribe to MacAddict, prepare
for (very) high pressure tactics starting within weeks for you to
"renew" your subscription, and an avalanche of mail, email, phone
calls, etc., from their "partners". When I let my subscription lapse
(it wasn't really all that useful for me, and expensive to boot),
they actually turned me over to a collection agency because I had not
paid for a renewal!
Fortunately, the collection agency backed down without a fight and
after just a single phone call (guess they were used to MacAddict's
antics), but not one word ever came back from the MacAddict
"professionals" to my outraged letters of complaint. I have seen some
unreal high-pressure sales tactics before, but this one took the cake.
Interesting to note that Apple pulled permission during this time
from MacAddict to add Apple updates and other software to their
"free" disk ("free" my fanny - have you noted the *price* of that
magazine!), and the last time I looked at an issue, the disk was
chock full of self-indulgent "staff videos" and darn little in the
way of anything useful.
