Having subscribed to both, I let my Macworld subscription lapse because
around mid 2001, it attempted to become hip and cool (say, like
MacAddict) and they essentially became the same magazine. Since
MacAddict actually *was* hip and cool, I stayed with them.
You can get a cd with Macworld, but they want to charge a higher
subscription rate for it. You will not get it by default.

The general advice I heard was that MacAddict is for gamers, MacWorld
is for
graphics/content creation people. Having read several Mac magazines,
that
difference is more of a slant that a focus. I wish I could subscribe to
both
because they each have their advantages. A notable of MacAddict seems
to be
that it comes with a CD. I've never gotten one in MacWorld.
