So it sounds like the majority of people who responded went the G3/400 route rather than a G4 due to cost factors. Sounds like two of you are happy and one of you wasn't (with running OS X).
What kind of performance could I expect from running OS X with a G3 upgrade? I believe the machine already has 256MB of RAM in it, so it wouldn't be bad cost wise to add another 256 and bring it up to 512MB... It also has a larger than factory hard drive in it at 6GB... OK for now, but I'd likely eventually put a 10GB or 20GB in it, but Hard Drive prices are coming down every day it seems... Do you think this is a viable path, or should I just revert to my original plan and stick with OS9 on my 3400... To upgrade the 7300 and make it faster only to get a later version of OS9 just doesn't appeal to me... Cheers, Sionnach __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
