Hello,

As usual, I need a little help here. I bought a Sanyo scsi cd-rw
recently, and just got around to installing it in my 9600, leaving the
original cdrom in place. I set the scsi id to 1, and set the parity
jumper to off. The burner is listed in ASP with the correct id, and the
driver is stated as "unknown". However, the unit will not read a cd. I
was under the assumption that in read-only mode, the os would provide
the driver for the unit. Additional software, such as Toast, would be
needed only for writing to disc and rewriting. Am I wrong here, or do I
have something else, such as the parity, set wrong? The original cdrom
works as it should, and nothing else seems out of the ordinary.

Any suggestions, advice, or helpful criticism gladly accepted.

Thanks,
Carl Kehley
