There are potential problems with this concept. The upper three slots and the lower three slots are supposed to be independent, but there is indeed some interaction. In one particularly "pathological" test I executed, I installed five super-fast cards, which in this specific case were UATA/66 cards. The buses hung. Four cards would work, either two on controller one and two on controller two, or one on controller one and three on controller two (the video card taking the sixth slot, of course).
