Well it looks like the 9600 video capture wasn't such a great idea after all. Especially considering that there are no A/V inputs (like the 8600 I had). I suppose that I will have to break down and get a new Mac and then try and find a reliable solution for transferring all those analog tapes.
No really related: I know that Chairman Jobs has said that the newer Macs will be sold with booting OS 9 until June (on some models anyway). When the OS X only machines are released, will they be OS 9 boot disabled, or will they just not ship with a separate copy of the OS? Thanks for everyones help with my questions!
