This should be true, but doesn't always seem to be. I've run into a few normal apps that hav trouble. One I can think of off hand is an old game called Fury of the Furries. It ran fine on my 68ks, crashed on my PPCs. I thought for awhile it was not compatible with PPC until I tried it on my Duo 2300 and found it worked, and in fact had a "Accelerated for PowerPC" scroller on start. On a whim, tried making a couple hundred meg Disk Copy image on my main PPC, a 6500 with a 4 gig drive, copied it there, and it ran fine. Tried a real HD formatted with HFS, and it still ran fine. No real clue why, it's just a rather diverting platform game that doesn't seem to do any direct access, yet it seems to matter. As with most things with computers in general, logic doesn't always work ;) Scott Holder -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
