For us fainthearted, Discwasher makes a nice CD cleaner.  :)

It's a CD with two brushes mounted on it, and a bottle of fluid.  You 
wet one brush, stick the CD in and play it.  The CD contains audio 
instructions, etc.  Very easy to use and seems to do a great job.
