I found a 14 diskette set of MacOS 7.5.3(PCI) on a website in Australia. The accompanying notes say this disk set is specially for the 7500/500. I tried booting with both the Disk Tools diskette and diskette 1. I get the smiling mac with both diskettes but the machine doesn't boot any further.
I removed all but one 32Meg RAM chip, disconnected the CD-ROM from the SCSI bus, hit the CUDA button several times, checked the PRAM battery (it's new) and still I just get the smiling mac and it sits there forever. Does anyone have any ideas what I should do next? Mike -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
