we talk about this repeatedly, but the price of retail, all-machine OS 9
on eBay is running to 90 dollars these days.
this auction looks sooo tempting. the price is good, and the guy seems
to have done his homework. am i wasting my money if I get these? I have
the sonnet crescendo upgrade. my processor wil be at 320 Mhz.
would using this screw up my mac?

iMac originally shipped with my iMac OS chart.

"Will these work on my mac?"
Make sure your Mac will accept the OS you are trying to install.
Look at my OS Spec chart.[good table of macs and OS's]

Also look at my "MAC OS UPGRADE FLOW CHART" to guide you through the
upgrades.[excellent table matrix shown]

Additional information can be found by searching the AppleCare
Knowledgebase or Apples Downloads page.[links to Apple]

*Installer CDs will do a full stand-alone install of the OS on the
machine. Just the OS, no apps, ect...

*Restore CDs do a full restore of the hard drive. Restoreing the machine
to a "as new" condition by erasing the hard drive and restoring all the
OSs and applications that came on the new machine.

I have been told that it is possible to to selectively restore from
these CDs, but have not done so myself.

PLEASE NOTE: Because CDs can be copied so easily, once these disks ship,
they are yours. You own them. No refunds or returns allowed. Know what
you are bidding on. All sales final. "

the price is great.
is there any reason i shouldn't go for this?
i will be needing the apple DVD player code on my machine.
and i don't have Tome Viewer yet, to be able to custom assemble the
various pieces I want in my final configuration.

waiting on word from you guys whether this is a score or a bomb. is it
money well spent or wasted?

Janet
