Dupe scsi id's shouldn't damage the drives - I've made the same
mistake on a few occasions - yesterday springs to mind when I installed
an Ultraplex 40x CD Rom in my Umax and changed the id of my zip to the
same as an IBM 9LP on the same chain. IBM failed to mount but no damage
was done though the computer was 'strange' for a little while as the
chain sorted itself out - after I'd corrected the id's the 9LP still
would not mount and was described as 'not ready' so I used HD SpeedTools
to mount it. So I rechecked all the connections and zapped the pram,
rebuilt the desktop and everything was fine again. Was the Micropolis
terminated when the only drive? Have you got any other HD utilities?
