Hi Pete,

Sounds hopeful; guess I'll take the rope down from the ridgepole :-)

I put it on the end of the ribbon cable, that's all I know about that.
I don't have the websites I was using to try and figure out the ID Jumpers
cause they're on the crashed drive.
The end of the ribbon constitutes termination doesn't it?
I have a bunch of utilities: Mount Everything, SCSI/Ware, etc.,
but they are all on the crashed Seagate.

I do have SCSI/Ware here on this 660 so if I can get the 9500
to boot on the OS 9 CD, maybe I can floppy SCSI/Ware into action?

I've been busy trying to get this old 660AV set up with a browser (NN 4.08)
and the gaping, caseless hulk of my beloved 9500 hasn't been touched yet today -
fear and trembling on Salt Spring Island :-)

But thanks to your encouragement, I'll pull the Micropolis
and put the Seagate back in on the ribbon end (lower bay where it used to be)

Should I leave the Seagate set at ID 1?

How long should it take to initialize this 4 GB Micropolis?

Thanks big-time!

Terry
