your questions, the display card is the on-board video display, which 
Apple chose to map as a PCI card to make driver development easy. 
The 'network slot' refers to something called the Comm Slot II and it 
is used to hold either a modem or Ethernet card.   The 'v' in 603ev 
stands for Valiant and is simply a faster version and lower powered 
version of the 603e.
