I have used pieces of styrofoam. Even quicker! Make sure the piece 
isn't large enough to prevent cooling. Say 8cm long by 2cm thick, and 
high enough to wedge between the top of the HD and the drive bay 
ceiling.

Yeah, but the adhesive doesn't last all that long, and then your HD 
slumps back down... and you have sticky GOOP all over its top & the 
ceiling of the bay...
