You're not the only one. However, a lot of times I don't bother with using anything if I don't have the sled. I just place the drive loose in the bay. Sometimes I put a folded sheet of paper beneath the drive to (barely) protect the exposed circuitry but many times I don't. I had a beige G3 DT with about four drives set up this way. Everything worked great. A few years ago I had an old IIfx with a few SCSI drives in it working pretty well, although it took quite a while to get it working due to termination voodoo. I prefer my method to getting gummy duct tape residue on the drives. In fact, if I used any tape, I'd probably use masking tape--no residue. Unless you're moving the computer around for some reason (shipping it?) I don't see a problem. Someone on the list should argue with me about this. Regards, John
