   You probably have the PowerControl app that came with the XLR8 Zif card
(well, it came with mine, anyway; maybe it's available online?).  If so,
boot up with VM and all extensions off, then use Powercontrol's memory test
and run it as long as you can stand to be without your computer.

   I was having some odd crashes after installing some memory from the same
place you got your memory, and at first believed it to be because all of my
memory was interleave when I upgraded to a Sonett G4/700, but that turned
out not to be the case.  First, I ran the RAM test for a quickie 1-minute
test, and it reported 50 million plus errors!  The fifteen or half-hour test
reported errors in the trillions!  Since I was going to the trouble of
cracking open my 9500 again, I desided to re-interleave my memory as I
removed all of the sticks and restested, one at a time.

   Well, after removing and reinserting each stick, the errors went away
completely (and I re-interleaved the memory as well).  Guess one/some of the
sticks just weren't making good contact in the socket, perhaps...
