                 Now I'm really worried:  my wife's recently acquired 8500 is 
virtually silent, so should we be looking at a dead PSU fan?  The Mac has run 
for several hours at a time without ill effect.  Have we a problem or are we 
just lucky?  Slightly OT,  but my Performa's quite noisy (& so's the family 
PC).
