If it's running, and you're not getting random lockups and freezes, then 
you're ok. 40C is well within spec, but unless you're measuring the temp 
with a thermocouple on the processor, the number you get is inaccurate.

It's an ok technique to watch the temperature vary, but the actual 
temperature reported is usually wrong.
