I pay $50 for dsl with speakeasy and it is worth every penny. With 
dial-up, I was constantly getting disconnected. Much of my work has 
me on the web all day and I couldn't do it when I was disconnected 
every 10 minutes.

Also, my dial-up ISP did not seem to know that Macs even exist. The 
last time I called my ISP for info on adding a dial-up account for 
the powerbook that I have coming soon, the lady I spoke to said her 
husband is a Mac technician.

Cheaper prices sound enticing. But as someone else said in this 
thread, you get what you pay for. I'm very happy with mine.
