it fits in the RAM slots on PCI Macs, butthen I see some that is labled
"PC100" and "SDRAM"; what is the deal w/ those?

Macs.. but it some other Macs can use SDRAM or PC100 ram, let me know...

PC100 SDRAM will work in beige G3, B&W and G4's (it'll work. but it may be
slow for the later G4 sawtooth). The 100 in PC100 means that it will work on
up to a 100MHz bus (so it is backwardly compatible with a 66MHz bus but will
not work in a 133MHz bus)

These would also work in a lot of slightly older Intel/AMD based
motherboards out there as well.

As far as ID'ing the chips...there's always google :) But unless you have
one of the above macs, the GURU app won't be able to help you on the SDRAM
sticks.

And for all intents and purposes, the VRAM you are after is mac only. I see
112-pin VRAM DIMMS on ebay all the time (for pci powermacs), check your mobo
description at macgurus or LEM to verify what type of vram you need.
http://www.macgurus.com/products/ram/vram.php There's also always the swap
list :)

Caitlin
