Some thoughts So bus zero is the internal bus and has two drives. Bus one has only the zip drive . Bus two is through a PCI card with one ATA/IDE drive. Have you tried the Interface card in different slots? How is termination handled. On the drive or the card or is there a potential for both to be terminated ? Also might a jumper on the card be changing the drive ID ? What does the Maxtor do when you boot with the shift key down ? > >(Not sure how the Floppy drive figures in the mix as it is never ID'd >on a SCSI bus and it connects directly to the Mobo with that smaller >ribbon cable) I think the floppy is totally separate .
