The VST UtlraTek66 is designed for hard drives only, as are most cards of this general type. Some allow CD-ROMs, but some of these will hang if a CD-R/W is attached. Greater drive attachment flexibility is provided with the newer, UATA/100 and UATA/133 cards. Not withstanding that, the VST card is among the most compatible, for hard drive use only, with the widest number of PCI-based Macs.
