This is to Darren and Robert----- Darren-
As I got this particular system used, there wasn't any additional software included, specifically diagnostic tools, to check the system with. Even though I use several different types of computers with different platforms (Windows, Macintosh, Sun) at college, I'm still relatively new at trying to fix my own Mac system at home. Any suggestions as to where to get some diagnostics to check the system? Robert-- I failed to mention (or forgot to) that I have two other systems here from which I can "borrow" cables from, if need be (a PM 7200/120 and a 7500/100). Additional question.....on top of the system itself (about level with the CD-ROM carrier, are all the connectors that plug into the logic board, one of which is a short (maybe 2 inches) SCSI cable. What do you think the likelihood of that small cable being the culprit, in this case? I can use cables from the other systems, if need be. Thanks Gentlemen!
