9600/200, Sonnet 400 G3, 1.5gb RAM, OS 9.1, using Kaleidoscope Recently began: losing buttons on windows etc (buttons still worked, you just couldn't SEE them) window scrollbars partly disappearing, with colored squares at the ends cursor suddenly acquiring a square black surround, like a black icon (the preceding 3 faults sometimes occurring together, up til today not affecting the 9600's operation) black square appearing around the cursor shortly before a freeze (today) false error messages saying "could not complete that command, not enough memory" another time today it didn't crash, but the cursor disappeared (was back after restart) yet more freezing inability to find printer in Chooser after changing settings and resetting back to original again (so that I had to get LaserWriter Bridge to use the printer... shouldn't have had to do this)
Guess how much fun I'm having with this machine? It should be just great; instead it malfunctions at every turn, and some of these multitudinous malfs are very imaginitive! -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
