I finally figured out how to set filters in Eudora 5.1.1.

Problem is, now I'm finding that messages I WANT, which have no relationship to addresses or subjects I've set filters for, are disappearing into the trash (where I have chosen as the filtered-message repository).

Is this normal?

I have looked at the filters list under Window menu... no, the address and subject of the trashed but desired message does not appear there.

How can you trust the filters not to remove such items? If you have to check the trash every time you load a queue, you might as well not have filters at all.
