Would someone care to comment on the following extensions and their tendency and role in causing a startup freeze with a blank panel being displayed atop the MOSS screen ?
These are; Default Calibrator, Desktop printer Spooler, Desktop Print Monitor, Display Library, When file sizes were compared to those on the other drive discrepancies were found. Copies from the other drive were provided yet the problem still exists. Now the other drive is freezing on start-up also. Booting from CD and using Disk Setup enables a restart of the smaller drive and running with these four off. Another drive will arrive this week which will get a fresh install and data from the drives I have now. However the drives presently in use test as free of media damage in Norton. They too will get fresh OS installs, but I am wopndering about the source of corruption and preventing it from happening again. TIA W.A.
