Seems to me
that the use of
DiskWarrior
would be a good idea.

Get over the last three weeks regular a 127 error message, The way
to get it going again is to reinstall OS 9.1 without any data loss.
After one reinstall today I got a new problem I can't solve:

5 Folders on the desktop disappeared, nothing lost elsewhere, the
trash emptied itself, a folder named "desktop folder" appeared in
the hard disk, locked with nothing inside.
If I want to move a file in the trash I get the message: "filename"
cannot be left in the trash. Do you want to delete "filename"
immediately. If I click OK it will be deleted.
Tried to reinstall, got a message ... there is a
problem with the 6500, the second time it said that I should move the
file "TutorialAW.PPC.7.ship" to another folder, but Sherlock I couldn't
find this file.
I started with Norton Disk Doctor, it showed Norton CD on the
desktop, but not the hard disk.
Several Icons on folders in the HD are missing ,

What can I do ?

Thanks, Franz Bangkok
