The only problems with my newly overhalled 7500 is one extension conflict. I am using the XLR8 MACh Speed Control extension v2.6.1 and version 5.2.1 of the Toast Reader extension.
Both extensions work OK until I use Chooser to mount a networked volume from another Mac. Then Chooser will "unexpectedly quit" just freeze or "bomb" with various error codes. With either extension disabled -- no problem. Daystar Technology has a $10, XLR8 upgrade v2.8.3 for OS 9.x Has anyone tried this upgrade with Toast 5.2.1? I don't mind spending $10 but hate the aggravation of cascading problems if the XLR8 upgrade does not work. This 7500 has all new software is now in a work environment so trouble shooting down time is best kept to a minimum. System info: PM 7500, OS 9.1 XLR8 466MHz/266 1MB, ATI 128 Rage Orion video, ATTO UL2D with a pair of 18 GB Western Digital Drives attached. Any ideas?
