I had downloaded a script that deleted the cache files automatically. I
used it for a while. It worked well. It was in Applescript so it could be
easily customized for your setup.

I don't recall where I got it, but you can do the same thing by recording a
script in Applescript.

Just start Script Editor, choose record, return to the Finder and do the
actions that you would normally do if you were deleting the files manually.
When you are done, return to the editor and press stop.

Save your script and from then on you can run it to do all of the work
automatically.
