I put a 2nd hard drive in my PM7200, and it doesn't show up on the desktop.
Drive Setup 1.2.2, Apple HD SC Setup 7.2.1, Disk First Aid 7.2.3, Norton
Disk Doctor 3.5, and the Apple system profiler can't see it either.
However, MacCheck does show a 2 Gb hard drive at SCSI ID=4 (actually I
thought I set the ID=1)
The drive is a 2gb 50 pin Seagate with an apple logoed sticker and the
correct sled attached
The jumper panel;
TP to bus TP jumpered
TP from drive TP jumpered
reserved SS
Parity Disable PD
Write Protect WP
Motor start Enable ME
Delay motor Start DS I added a jumper here since it is the 2nd
drive, is that OK?
Term Enable TE was jumpered, I removed the jumper since
I installed it in the middle of the scsi cable
I tried changing the ID to 1, I think that is done by shorting the 1st
(right) pair of the HDA connector. : : : : : :|
| R R 4 2 1
E E \ / The ID came out ID=4
S S ADDR
My computer is a PM7200/75 (soon to be 7200/120) running OS 7,6,1, Disk
Doctor says everything is OK.
Any idea how I can make the drive visible? All help appreciated.
