Ahha! Success --- well, at least partial success. I've gotten my Mac (with the SCSI still re-configured) to boot at last. I did this by temporarily removing the Sonnet Tempo Trio card. Now I have to figure out why that is causing the boot the hang. But first I have to fix a few other things and take care of some other stuff before tearing into the system again. At least its not quite so serious and now I can ask if there are any ideas as to why my system hangs with the Sonnet Tempo Trio installed? -- ="Sacrifice the chocolate bunny!" = Dr. Frank J.
