Since I wrote the original statement that incited this rebuttal I thought I would share my thoughts on this which come from my own observations.
On my 7600 motherboard I ran processors of 132 Mhz (mHz ? , who cares ? ) 150 , 180 and 200. The bus speed was always reported as 45 for all of them.


A corresponding lack of change was noted when my 8500 has been run with the same processors. at 50.

That and the LEM specs are what lead me to make the original claim.

But I will bow to the experts. My machines must run under different rules somehow.
