Dear Listers, You were right, the seller was confused. Apple System Profiler showed 128 mb dimms. Not 256 mb dimms. The seller told me he will have to update his listing because of the error as he had the wrong ram total advertised based on his thinking that he had 256 mb ram dimms in the 8500.
