Should a processor from a 9500/180 work okay in a 9600/200MP machine? I put it in and it ran okay, but now the computer stops during the boot-up at the Mac OS screen. Thanks for any help. Tom
Yes, but the OS has extra extensions to make use of the extra processors on the MP board. Try booting with the shift key held down and see if that works.
