I downloaded postfacto and ran it with my OSX CD but after the reboot it
just goes back to OS9. Do I need to boot off my OSX CD? Any suggestions? I
have a PM 7500 with OS 9.1 installed currently.

First I can't imagine why you would want to run X on an unsuported
7500...bound to be a nightmare. I would think you would have to boot
from the X CD to install!

Second, this list is NOT for OS X as described by the list mom.

Third, I am wondering if you selected X in the startup disk control panel.

First, probably to do it, several of us have.

Second, he's using a 7500 which is a PCI PowerMac.

Third, I wondered that too, and would suggest a visit to:
<http://eshop.macsales.com/OSXCenter/XPostFacto/framework.cfm?page=XPostFacto.html>

Fourth, after he gets it installed - and working- he will be sternly forbidden from even looking at this list! ;-) (unless he boots up in OS9)
