I downloaded postfacto and ran it with my OSX CD but after the reboot it just goes back to OS9. Do I need to boot off my OSX CD? Any suggestions? I have a PM 7500 with OS 9.1 installed currently.
I suggest you subscribe to the 'Unsupported OS X' e-mail list <http://lowendmac.com/lists/unsupported.html> where the focus is running OS X on unsupported hardware and people will be glad to help you.
The OS X install using XPostfacto was relatively painless follow the instructions procedure, and I had to do it one time only. IIRC, you boot normally, load the 1st OS X CD, run XPF which installs a control panel and NVRAM boot code, then use the CP to select the OS X CD as the source to install from. Eventually, you reboot from the CD and the OS X installer runs.
