Scam? Maybe I haven't followed this thread right but starting an item in an auction at a low price does not seem deceitful to me?
No. They listed several G4 Powerbooks 1GHZ/1MB Buy It Now at $990 to $1050, depending upon which site. No bidding.
Since about four hours ago, three of these listings have been cancelled. For ha-ha's, I wrote one seller who stated he was in Germany. Here's his response (slightly clipped) which really gives one confidence in the integrity of the seller; he can't even figure if he's the one writing the message or his wife:

Comment: the URL for the item came up "invalid" this afternoon. If a buyer stops an auction, the listing remains with an appropriate comment of why the auction was stopped. Same/same for "Buy In Now"; the listing remains, but is closed.
