Having lived in Germany almost ten years, the person writing this is not German. English is a mandatory language from the second grade all the way through the last day of college. By terminology used and misused, I would say Middle East area.
So I'm not the only one to suspect that this wasn't from a German. I've corresponded with a couple of Germans over the years. Not only is their English better than my German, it tends to be better than my English as well. Certainly the spelling.
I'd have said former ComBlock myself, but in any event, this _does_ have scam written all over it. The only thing missing was a salutation from someone named Abacha who works for the National Bank of Nigeria and seeks your help in a sensitive matter requiring great discretion.
