Or, in the case of Photoshop, maybe a corrupt install. I'm running 2.5 with 8.6 without problems. That's what I'd recommend, too. When I upgraded to a 7500, I just swapped in my 3GB HD from my 7100, and, tried to boot the 7500 with 8.6. Well, the install that was on the 7100 was for just that. Didn't have all the files necessary for the 7500. So, the computer would crash whenever I tried to boot 8.6. Wound up doing a fresh install.
