Hi all; IIRC, all the Quadra 630 form factor Macs (636 through 6300) used the same Power Supply, the exception being the 6360, which had a higher output Power Supply. Also IIRC, the 6360,6400 and 6500 used the same Power Supply. So in answer to the 6500 MOBO in the 638. Yes, the 638 Power Supply will run the 6500 MOBO, but I wouldn't push it to hard. I know for a fact the 6360 Power Supply will fit the 638 case so the 64xx,65xx Power Supply should fit also. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong on this. HTH --Thanks; Rev.
