Does anybody have any ideas as to what might be causing the reboot difficulty. My machine used to be able to reboot without redoing the modem and router. Why does it get lost when trying to get back in the game?
Question: Did you do "clean" install with the universal disk or did you initialize?
This, as pointed out in an earlier thread, is one of the risks of using a CD that was not intended for the machine. (...despite some critics who dissed me for stating that belief!)
A complete wipe and reinstall will place the proper drivers on the machine.
The G4 has an IDE drive, the 7600 a SCSI....which is why I would not have used anything but a universal disk.
