I see Apple optical mice for sale on ebay. I have a 7600 and 7300 both with

(1) Are there any Apple mice I should be wary of (not interested in non
Apple)?

Now that's a shame.

I've got an optical mouse here. Two buttons, plus a scrollwheel that also acts as a button.

When used with USB Overdrive, one of these multibutton/scrollwheel mice can be a really powerful tool.

Now, I've been using a three button ALPS Glidepoint touchpad for years, and when I have to use an Apple mouse, I feel as if I've been plunged back to the stone age.

Indeed, even my old Commodore 128 has a two button mouse.

The Microsoft optical mouse, two buttons, scrollwheel mouse is quite good and only costs about $25.00.

I really urge you to take a look at these new optical multi button mice. I used one for less than an hour and was sold on the concept.
