Not much use holding the Windows version of Eudora up as an example, Jeff.
The problem is mostly the other way. Macs are great at reading other
platforms 'cos they have to be. I don't recall having problems getting jpgs
from Windows OE.

It has been hinted at and whispered that other Mac email prgms besides OE
have no problem sending jpgs to Windows machines. Is this really true?

The compression of "encode for any computer" in OE mostly works for all - as
its name promises. This is the default setting on the Mac version of 5.02.
Now and then, some Windows folk, usually on less than modern set-ups have
trouble and I have to use the "encode for windows option" without
compression. As for the extensions, always use .jpg (but this is not always
enough). As I have said before, you can post your pic to a web address via
FTP and simply give the link in your email (thus avoiding the nervous-making
attachment, speeding things up especially because of the post-once/send-many
factor if you wish to send the attachment to different folk at different
times...)
