thank you Andrew, it is what I suspected. It would be a big ask for any
email program to know all the foibles of the receiving computer. The trend
in development is to ensure cross platform communication in email and www
pages but the wild west out there is not over ... It is not just the traffic
to Windows from Macs, I often get jpgs and other pics I can't immediately
open. To tell the truth, I like it. My pulse rises in anticipation of the
chase. means taking a peek at the creator code etc in Typeshuffler, changing
it to Photoshop... trying different PS types. The more the thing won't open,
the more the thrill. There's the heavy gun: MacLink Plus. Sometimes you can
get a PICT out of it and then convert to a jpg later. If all else fails, I
send it to a mate who has a modern Windows PC and he shakes it up (as a last
resort, he can screen snap and send in a proven format back).
