My son has a PM 4400 maxed out in RAM, with Firewire and USB cards, running OS 9.1. His Mom and I want to get him an iPod for his birthday.
Can anyone tell me if there is a version of iPod software that will run on OS 9.1, and, if so, where I can get it? Apple (and other vendors) show a version of the software that needs 9.2.1, and I understand from this list that I don't want to fool with that if I'm not running OS X. If I must get a new computer just to support an iPod, then maybe the iPod idea will have to be shelved. Thanks, Bob -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
