After the install, I am left with about 750 Mb of space on my HD. I copied my old OS 9.1 system and application folders to another HD.
Use <http://www.OS9forever.com> and update your 9.1 to 9.2.2. A copied system kinda sux, tho.....
So can I delete them from my OS X HD, or are they required for it to work?
No, but don't you want to use Classic? If you update the other drive and choose it for Classic, you are good to go.
I tried to drag them in to the trash, but it said they could not be deleted.
You must have Classic running. You can shut it off and choose for it not to start on boot, then trash it.
The same thing happened with my X PostFacto file and my ATI installation file.
Don't ever lose your XPostFacto in your OS9! That's the only way to boot into another disk or to get back into OSX when you boot into OS9.
I would like to free up some space to install Office 98 and Quicken. Any suggestions?
A larger hard drive? :))
