just one other thing, I get messages now and then saying that some doc which is supposed to open in ST won't because too big... And then I turn Clarisworks. I give much more

Well, Tex-Edit Plus doesn't have the file length restriction that SimpleText has. And if you're familiar with SimpleText, you'll have no problems using Tex-Edit.


In any event, I'm happy that I was able to offer a solution to your SimpleText problem.
