Under OS X it works just fine, but not in OS 9.1.
I tried downloading and installing the latest OS 9 drivers from Epson, but they won't install. I get the following error:
"The default location required for this install could not be found. This install will be cancelled"
This is with the file named: Epson 10773.sea.hqx
I already installed the main driver package, though... The error is with the OS 9 updater.
The USB card is an IOGear GIC220U USB 2.0 card. It says it works in OS 8.6 through OS 9.2, But there are no Classic drivers for it on the CD or the website.
Since I have no other USB devices, I can't tell if the problem is with the USB card or the printer. The USB card does show up in Apple System Profiler, as USB Card, then also as PCI card (2 entries).
This is a FRESH install of OS 9.1, with only TWO non-Apple extensions installed: a driver for my Realtek PCI NIC, and a driver for my iXMicro iXTV PCI card. I also have Stuffit 7.3 installed. Nothing else from the stock Apple install. USB USB Adapter Card support was selected during the install, but not "USB" (I assume this means Apple USB that's on the motherboard, which doesn't apply with my 7300).
Anyone hear a similar problem? Any ideas on how to get this working?
