Assuming your computer is a 7500, 7600, 8500, 8600, etc., get a G3 accelerator, 400 or 450 MHz. These are about $120. [or less]. [www.OtherWorldComputing.com] Also, you will get a speedup from a video card. Mine is an 8 MB iXMicro Ultimate Rez.
These 2 improvements will noticeably speed up your Web Surfing experience.
But, keep in mind that a 1GHz eMac is $899, refurbished, at www.AppleStore.com Look in the SPECIALS section, bottom let corner of the webpage. Such a G4 machine is a big improvement.
