There used to be a shareware program called Wish I Was.. That would allow
you to temporary change the Gestalt ID.  That=B9s the mac identfier for
whichever machine.  If you can change the ID to some form of iMac with the
software, then you should be able to install it. The problem I ran into was
actually finding the software.  Any one know where it can be found on the 
WWW? >>

The last version of "Wish I Was. ."  I know of is v2.0, circa 1996 and the 
last Gestalt ID listed is in the era of the 9500. I have a copy if anyone needs 
it. Don't know if there is a later version for the iMac gestalt ID? Perhaps 
there is another program that does the same for the newer Macs?
